Lunch Box Ideas – Week 31

Welcome! I hope the week is treating you well thus far. We have officially gotten to the part of summer where I dread going outside even to get the mail. It has made workouts difficult and I find it hard to function without multiple fans blowing on me. My two year old on the other hand, loves the heat and wants to spend every waking moment outside. We are working on the proper balance so mama doesn’t melt. I will gladly welcome fall weather and football season.

Why Weekly Lunch Box Ideas?

Each week my son’s daycare provides a menu of what they will feed the kiddos for breakfast and lunch. My daily goal is to provide my son with nutrient dense, real food alternatives that look like what his classmates are eating. Lunch Box Ideas – Week 31 is a recap of my efforts from last week.

MONDAY
Raising Primal Lunch Box:


BREAKFAST: Chicken and apple sausage, rice cereal, freeze dried apples, fresh fruit
LUNCH: Banza Penne with grass fed butter and chicken sausage, fresh veggies, fresh fruit

School Menu:

BREAKFAST: Cereal
LUNCH: Spaghetti, carrot coins, fruit cocktail


TUESDAY

Raising Primal Lunch Box:

BREAKFAST: Pancakes with  Pea Protein Powder, scrambled egg, fresh fruit
LUNCH: Cassava tortilla wrapped with nitrate free, low sodium turkey and raw cheddar cheese, fresh fruits and veggies

School Menu:

BREAKFAST: French toast sticks
LUNCH: Taquitos, peas, beans


WEDNESDAY

Raising Primal Lunch Box:

BREAKFAST: Over easy egg, whole grain toast with jam (no sugar/preservatives – just fruit), and fresh fruit
LUNCH: Quinoa with chicken sausage and kale in chicken broth, Simple Mills crackers, fresh snap peas, and orange

School Menu:

BREAKFAST: Toast with jelly
LUNCH: Potato soup, saltine crackers, diced peaches


THURSDAY

BREAKFAST: Apple sauce, over easy egg, fresh fruit
LUNCH:  Chicken and apple sausage with kale and Banza Shells, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit

School Menu:

BREAKFAST: apple sauce
LUNCH: noodles with sausage and peppers, salad


FRIDAY

BREAKFAST: Gluten free oatmeal with chia and flax, over easy egg, fresh fruit
LUNCH:  Gluten free corn dog, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit

School Menu:

BREAKFAST: apple sauce
LUNCH: noodles with sausage and peppers, salad
